Our list of two-letter Scrabble words comes from the NASPA Word List 2020 (NWL 2020). This is the Scrabble dictionary used by US and Canadian competitive players. This Scrabble two-letter word list is identical to the valid words listed in the Official Scrabble Players Dictionary (OSPD6, updated in 2018).

Sure, there are way more two-letter Scrabble words than anyone would expect, but there are also a few words you might expect to play but can’t. We’re sorry, but these aren’t allowed according to the rules.
Yes, Q is a high-point tile, so it’s super tempting to want to play it in a two-letter combo. And QI is a great use for it, but you might be wondering if there are any more. Sorry, but no.
Just because a two-letter Q-word looks like it might be playable, doesn’t mean it is. IQ and QA are both out, unfortunately.
Sadly, the same goes for J-words. JO is playable, but don’t expect to find any other high-point J gems in NWL and OSPD. Using CSW gets you JA, and that’s it.
